2024-2025 Athletics Start Dates

The MHSAA has done a great job of continuing to work to help find balance in athletics by creating breaks in the seasons for athletes and coaches to be with their families. We love working hard to develop our gifts but appropriate scope is important also.
- Summer Dead Week: June 30-July 7- this is the actual dead week where there is zero contact between players and coaches and no use of district facilities.
- Pre-Season Down Time: the week prior to each season there is "down time" where there are no open gyms or captains practices. Only 4-player workouts and conditioning are permitted.
