It was a chilly 32 degrees at the start of the game, but the Eagles were warmed up and ready to take on the Huskies of Forest Hills Northern.

The Huskies got on the board first, but the Eagles answered back only a minute later. The first quarter remained a back-and-forth battle between the two teams. The quarter closed with FHN up by 1. The Eagles of course rallied back in the second, taking a tie of 5:5 into halftime.

In the third quarter, GR Christian came out strong putting two more points on the board only to have the Huskies answer back with three of their own.  The quarter came to an end with another goal for the good guys, keeping the game tied where it remained until 7 minutes into the fourth quarter when FHN scored again.  The Eagles fought hard till the end but could not get another one in the net.

John Watson and Jacob Benoit split time in the net facing a total of 23 shots in the game.  Evan Bolt took the majority of draws for the Eagles but had a bit of help from Will Stuit and Kolbe Gabryszk – with a pole no less!

Hudson Ogle had a total of six goals and one assist in the game.  Evan Bolt got on the board with a goal and two assists, and Kolbe Gabryszk contributed with a goal.  Arie Teitsma, Henry Ekkens, and Roman Caulk each contributed with an assist.  The team as a whole continued to cause havoc on the opposing team with 7 caused turnovers and 18 ground balls on the day.

The Eagles will travel to Lowell on Tuesday to take on the Red Arrows at 5:30 pm.
