Freshman Eagles shut out rival East Grand Rapids on Tuesday, twice! Pitching and defense led the way, as the team committed zero errors for the evening.
In Game 1, James Krosschell twirled a one hitter, and the Eagles won by a score of 9-0. Krosschell struck out 7 Pioneers, but also benefited from several good defensive plays. Ryan Jonker had 2 fine catches in the outfield, Owen Vanderwerf had one, and Will Gruenert flashed the leather all over the diamond.
