Freshman Eagles shut out rival East Grand Rapids on Tuesday, twice! Pitching and defense led the way, as the team committed zero errors for the evening.
The Eagles won game 2 by a score of 7-0. Will Deblecourt started on the mound, and also gave up only one hit. Peter Lesperance closed out the game, pitching the last 2 innings. Lesperance faced 6 batters, and got all 6 out, 4 via the strikeout. Game 2 also featured several great plays on D, led by James Vanden Bosch's 3 running/diving catches in center field. The squad couldn't decide which play was more exciting by Will Heagle, his basket catch on D, or the double that rocketed off his bat!
Over the 2 games, the Eagles were led on offense by Grunnert with three hits, and Krosschell and Lesperance with 2 hits each.
