Rescue me from my enemies, O LORD, for I hide myself in you. Teach me to do your will, for you are my God; may your good Spirit lead me on level ground.”

Andrew Huyser
Parents: Brian and Mayra Huyser

Favorite memory: Running my first race this season after a winter of training very hard and after three weeks of quarantining. Coming back to race after so much time away from the team was super exciting for me and I felt incredible during my race. There was so much satisfaction in seeing my effort finally pay off as I finally had a breakthrough in my times, finally breaking 5 minutes in the mile by running a 4:54. Although I've run faster since, this was still my favorite race I've had in track.
Most challenging part of practice: When I had to practice alone for three weeks because of quarantining. Running is so much easier when you have people to run with. It was tempting to just lay in bed all day during quarantine but I put way too much effort into training during the winter to let it go to waste, so I pushed through and trained on my own.
Favorite Coach Quote/Mannerism: We love to run in the rain
College: Calvin University to study Mechanical Engineering and run Cross Country/Track

Most challenging part of practice: Keeping up with Tinsae
Favorite Coach Quote/Mannerism: Well done
College: Calvin University to study psychology
