Celebrating Our Boys Lacrosse Seniors!

#2, Jonah Mulder
Parents: Brian and Rachel Mulder. 

Jonah has played for 7 years and attends Grand Rapids Christian. His favorite memory is the overtime win against Jenison this year. He plans to study electrical engineering at Michigan Tech. Jonah’s favorite verse is Romans 8:10-11: "But if Christ is in you, then even though your body is subject to death because of sin, the Spirit gives life[a] because of righteousness. And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies because of his Spirit who lives in you."

#3, Will Stuit
Parents: David and Katie Stuit

Will has been in the program for 2 years at Grand Rapids Christian. His favorite memory is scoring his first goal against St. Johns. He plans to attend Indiana University to study Business and Finance. His favorite verse is Proverbs 3:5-6. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight." 

#6, Adrian Self
Parents: Robb and Lesley Selfe

Adrian has been part of the program for 10 years at Grand Rapids Christian. His favorite memory is beating Jenison in overtime earlier this year. He plans to attend GRCC for Law Enforcement. His favorite verse is also Proverbs 3:5-6: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight."

#11, Evan Bolt
Parents: David and Kim Bolt

Evan has been in the program for 9 years at Grand Rapids Christian High School. His favorite memory is beating Jenison in overtime his senior year and celebrating at Chipotle afterward. Evan plans to attend Hope College and major in Kinesiology. His favorite verse is Jeremiah 29:11: “’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”

#16, Sasha Neykov
Host Parents: Patrick and Heidi Fitzgibbon

Sasha has been with the program for 2 months at Grand Rapids Christian. His favorite memory is the overtime win against Jenison this year. He plans to study Civil Engineering at Calvin University. His favorite verse is Isaiah 41:10: “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

#17, Drew Bierlein
Parents: Paul and Evelyn Bierlein

Drew has been with the program for 3 months at Grand Rapids Christian. His favorite memory is beating Jenison in overtime this year. He plans to study Kinesiology at Michigan State. His favorite verse is John 13:7: "Jesus replied, ‘You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand’.”

#18, Sam Vander Meyden
Parents: Ben and Erin Vander Meyden

Sam has been part of the program for 10 years and attends South Christian. His favorite memory is beating Jenison in overtime this season. After graduation, Sam will be working at J and F Landscaping as an irrigation technician. His favorite verse is Joshua 1:9: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

#19, Jonas Mulder
Parents: Jonathan and Amy Mulder

Jonas is in his first season with the team at Grand Rapids Christian. His favorite memory is learning how to play the game from Coach Spalding at his first practice. He plans to attend Grand Canyon University to study finance. His favorite verse is Revelation 3:8: “I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.”

#21, Ben VanderLeek
Parents: Scott and Melissa Vanderleek

Ben has been part of the program for 2 months at Grand Rapids Christian. His favorite memory is his first practice—learning how to play the game during a snowstorm. He plans to study Business at Michigan State. His favorite verse is John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."


To our senior boys lacrosse players — thank you for your leadership, dedication, and heart you’ve brought to this program. Your hard work, teamwork, and passion have left a lasting impact both on and off the field. We are so proud of everything you’ve accomplished and grateful for the memories you’ve helped create. Wishing each of you the very best in your next chapter — once a part of this team, always family.
