Isaac Anderson – Shortstop

Parents: Andrew and Rebecca Anderson

Outside of baseball, Isaac enjoys playing pickleball and brings the same competitive spirit and energy to everything he does. Isaac plans to continue both his academic and athletic career at Hope College, where he will study Business and continue playing baseball at the next level. His favorite baseball memory was the team’s district victory over South Christian, a game that created memories and excitement that will last long after his high school career ends. Isaac says he is most proud of receiving an opportunity to continue playing baseball at the collegiate level, the result of years of dedication, effort, and commitment to his goals. For younger players, Isaac shares this message: “Work hard and believe in the guys around you.”

William Bush – Center Field / Catcher

Parents: Jordan and Leah Bush

William is joined tonight by his parents, Jordan and Leah Bush, Will is thankful for his parents whose support and encouragement have been a constant part of his journey. William’s involvement extends far beyond the baseball field. He is a captain of the varsity soccer team and has also been active in DECA, Student Congress, National Honor Society, and Rotary Interact Club. His leadership, commitment, and ability to balance athletics with academics have made a lasting impact on our school community. Following graduation, William plans to attend Butler University where he will study Finance and Business Technology. One of his favorite baseball memories came last season when the Eagles defeated South Christian in district play — a moment that brought excitement and unforgettable energy to the team. William says he is most proud of earning the Eagle Blueprint Award, a reflection of his hard work, character, and dedication throughout high school. For future players, William shares this advice: “Baseball is a game, so enjoy as much of it as you can.”

Will Doezema – Pitcher

Parents: Kip and Carrie Doezema

Will is grateful for his parents whose support, encouragement, and presence have played an important role throughout his baseball journey. Outside of baseball, Will also enjoys basketball and brings an energetic and positive spirit to everything he does. His teammates know him as someone who enjoys the game, values relationships, and helps create a fun and competitive atmosphere. Following graduation, Will plans to continue his baseball career at Hope College, where he looks forward to competing at the next level and continuing his growth both on and off the field. When asked about his favorite baseball memory, Will pointed to winning a state championship during his freshman year — an experience and achievement that created memories that will last a lifetime. The accomplishment Will says he is most proud of is simple but meaningful: being a great son, a reflection of the values, character, and appreciation that define who he is beyond athletics. For future players, Will offers this advice: “Have fun — it’s a game.”

Luke Ekkens – Left Field

Parents: Dave and Kristin Ekkens

Luke has made his mark both in the classroom and in the community. Outside of baseball he has been involved with caddying, National Honor Society, and Student Congress, demonstrating dedication and leadership in many areas of student life. After graduation, Luke plans to attend Michigan State University where he will pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Luke’s favorite baseball memory comes from this season’s outfield sliding-catch drills — moments that highlight not only hard work but also the camaraderie and enjoyment found in everyday practices. Among his proudest accomplishments is receiving the Chick Evans Scholarship for caddying, a significant honor that reflects his work ethic, discipline, and perseverance. Luke offers future players this advice: “Pay attention to every play, whether you’re on or off the field.”

Grand Rapids Christian is deeply grateful for these baseball seniors and the passion they have shown for the game. Some of them will continue representing Grand Rapids Christian in college, competing in one of the most demanding sports at the next level. More importantly, each of them will continue to represent our school and community with Christian character, integrity, and witness.
