We Celebrated Our Boys Golf Seniors!
Posted on 06/10/2026
These seniors were a part of 2 state championships (2023, 2025), 2 runners up (2024, 2026), 3 conference titles, 2 conference tournament championships, 4 regional championships, two 71 wins, 38 top 5s, and only 7 times outside the top five as a team in 4 years.

Cooper Reitsma
Parents: Ray and Tami Reitsma
Cooper has 21 individual wins, Super Team (2024, 2025), All State (2023) - TBD on this year but at least all state. A graduate of Ada Christian, Cooper has been a dedicated player and teammate all these years. He has had to carry the burden of being considered the best player in the state in his grade for four years. That is a lot of expectations. He has carried it well performing at a high level, and becoming the most decorated Golfer in GRCHS history. Cooper is also a top 10 student at GRCHS for his career, and earned Academic All-State honors this year as well. He is going to play golf at Methodist University (NC) next year and study Professional Golf Management.

Sawyer O'Grady
Parents: Paul and Bridit O'Grady
Sawyer has 5 individual wins, All State HM (2024), All State (2025) - TBD on this year, probably AS or ASHM. A graduate of Ada Christian, Sawyer has been one of the toughest players we have had mentally in school history. His ability to find ways to keep a challenging round going and help the team no matter the situation is a key to his incredible success. Sawyer has averaged under 40 all four years and the last three years has averaged 37.9 or better each year. Next year he will attend University of Findlay to play golf and study business.

Ty Erickson
Parents: Lance Erickson and Madeline Harter
Ty has been a staple of the GRC lineup the last two years. Playing a key role in every one of our wins during his last two years on the varsity A team. In the two state finals he played in he never shot over 79 in any of them. A clutch performer when the toughest tournaments showed up, Ty has an true belief in his ability to make it happen for himself and his team, sinking long putt more often than any other player I have ever coached. Ty averaged under 40 the last two years of his varsity career. Ty will be attending Michigan State University and studying business.

Davis Hutt
Parents: Justin and Allison Hutt
Davis jumped into the role of #5 player on our team this year after playing varisty B as a Junior. Davis is a tireless worker and student of the game. He thinks the game better and more clearly than most, manages emotions, and fights until the end. He played in our Conference tournament championship, our regional championship and our state finals. One of the more mature and pleasant players I have ever had the chance to coach. Davis will be attending Hope College and studying business.

Luke Olney
Parents: Don and Laura Olney
This was Luke's first year in the program. Not an easy feat. To make this team as a senior took something special. He loves the game, and although late to the competitive side of golf, Luke adapted well. Working hard and earning the respect of his teammates. He was a leader on the Varsity B team this year, and earned his way into a few of the Varsity A events throughout the season. It was an honor to have Luke represent the Eagles, and we are so glad he decided to play and push our players to be their best. Luke will be attending Michigan State University and studying Pre-Med.

Thank you to the most golf successful senior class in school history. It will probably never be replicated what these seniors and their teammates accomplished over their four years. It has been fun. It has been meaningful. They will be missed.
