In their first home game since December 17, the Eagles put together a solid team victory. Wyoming came ready to shoot from deep and connected on 5 first half three pointers to go along with perfect shooting from the free-throw line. But the Eagles packed their own scoring punch.
After leading 13-12 at the end of the first quarter, Katelyn LaRue and Hannah Sall lead a second quarter run for the Eagles with 10 and 6 points, respectively, resulting in a 33-25 hafltime lead.
The defense tightened up in the second half for Grand Rapid Christian, holding the Wolves to only 17 second half points and only one more three-pointer. Paris Rodgers returned with 6 points and was a part of a strong defensive effort along with Kayla and Alana Lyons holding Wyoming's first half scoring leader to only one point in the second half.
The Eagles hit the road in games against conference opponent East Grand Rapids as well as Forest Hills Northern and Forest Hills Eastern next week.
