EAST GRAND RAPIDS HIGH SCHOOL: 49
Grand Rapid Christian boys freshman basketball team played host to East Grand Rapids Tuesday night. The Eagles came out slow in the 1st half. They struggled to move the ball on offense, but their defense kept them in the game. The Eagles were trailing 23-17 at halftime. In the 2nd half the Eagles started to move the ball more on offense and got the ball inside to their big man Tyler Porte who finished with a game high 14 points. The Eagles fought to the end, getting some key steals off their full court press.The Eagles fell short in their comeback losing to East Grand Rapids 49-43.
The Eagles got a big boost from Quinton Sall who hit a key 3 and finished the game with 5 point. The Eagles will return to action Friday night against Forest Hills Eastern at 5:30pm in the All City Gym.
