The varsity Eagles Soccer team traveled to Greenville on Thursday night for an OK-White match-up. The scoring started quickly for the Eagles as they controlled the kickoff, marched down the field and netted the first goal of the game just 18-seconds into the match on a goal from junior Nick Cassiday on an assist from freshman Ben Hart. The Eagles continued pressing forward getting 15 shots off in the first half. Junior Grant Hassenrik netted his first goal of the season off an assist from Cassiday in the 19^th minute. Two minutes later, Cassiday setup junior Ben Kuiper for his second goal of the 2020 campaign. The first half scoring concluded in the 24^th minute when Hassenrik scored again off another assist from Cassiday. The Eagles went into halftime with a 4-0 lead. The offensive pressure continued in the 2^nd half with junior Alex Terry adding to the Eagles tally in the 54^th minute on a ball played in from Hart. In the 68^th minute, senior Trent Elzinga scored his first goal of 2020 on another assist from Cassiday. With the score 6-0 in the waning minutes, the Eagles conceded a goal on a dipping long range shot the found its way past sophomore goalkeeper Cooper Hutt. The game ended with a 6-1 Eagles victory. 

The 5-0 Eagles travel to defending state champion Forest Hills Northern on Tuesday (9/22). Kickoff is scheduled for 6:45 and will be streamed live on Facebook.
