Varsity volleyball defeats Forest Hills Central in 2nd round of conference tournament

The GRC varsity volleyball team beat Forest Hills Central in three sets on Thursday in the second round of the conference tournament. The scores were 28-26,25-12 and 25-22. Stat leaders for the night were Addie VanderWeide with 18 kills, 2 blocks, 2 assists and 15 digs, Evie Doezema with 14 kills, 2 blocks and 2 digs, Lauren Peal with 19 digs and 2 aces, Liz Rupp with 9 kills, Stephanie Stewart with 3 blocks and 7 digs, Alyssa DeVries with 35 assists, 7 digs, 2 blocks and 1 kill, Emerson Williams with 3 aces and 4 digs and Kate Breems with 1 kill and 2 digs. The Eagles will take on Lowell on Tuesday night in the Quest Center at 6:00 in the conference tournament finals. The Eagles are now 20-2.
