Varsity Eagles played a hard-fought second conference game, and can go into spring break happy with another win under their belt! Goals were scored by Lili Bouwma (6), Halle Couch (2) freshman Sophie Israels, Elizabeth Mehney, Katie Winkle, Kiera Zylstra. Assists were credited to Lili Bouwma (2), and Adia Sikkema (2). Midfielder Halle Couch was credited with winning 9 and controlling 3 draws. Midfielder Katie Winkle was credited with winning 3 and controlling 2 draws. Freshman goalie Katie Hoeksema was credited with 5 saves. Defensive player of the game was Elizabeth Mehney for her 4 caused turnovers, 1 ground ball, and overall hustle on the field. The team’s Ground Hog Award was given to junior Halle Couch for her good work scooping up 8 ground balls. Way to go Eagles!!
