The Eagles came out fighting but fell short in their third game against Lowell losing 12-8. 

Bottom of the first the Eagles took an early 2-1 lead when Lauren Holkeboer used her speed to beat out a grounder and Haily McBride hit a homerun. Top of the third Lowell came out swinging and scored five runs, but the Eagles came right back again to match them. Starting off Annika Smits and Lily Gaastra singled to make it on base. Next up, Lauren Holkeboer again put her speed to work and beat out a sacrifice bunt. With bases loaded, Lille Dekker takes one for the team and gets hit by a pitch. Bases still loaded, Haily McBride hits a hard grounder to right field that the fielder can't handle, three more runs scored and Haily makes it to third. Abbe Diemer grounds out to the first baseman, scoring another. In the fourth inning the Eagles scored one more when Lille Dekker brought in Annika Smits on a single bringing the score to 8-6. Unfortunately, in the top of the 5th the red arrows bats brought in six runs and the Eagles couldn't get their bats going again. 

Haily McBride battled on the mound and struck out seven. Annika Smits had three catches in center field. Lily Gaastra and Ella Koetje pulled off a double play to get the Eagles out of an inning with bases loaded.

The Eagles next game is tomorrow at Cornerstone University against Holland Christian starting at 12:00 PM. Following that game they will either play West Catholic or NorthPointe Christian.
