District Semis Varsity Softball vs. Catholic Central

The Eagles season ended Saturday when they lost in the Semi finals of Districts to Catholic Central 10-7. The Eagles came out strong leading the game until the top of the 6th when they gave up three runs. Haily McBride was on the mound lasting seven innings, giving up eight hits, and striking out seven. At the plate the Eagles had smart at bats, earning themselves eleven walks, but only had two hits. Lily Gaastra had one hit that was a double, and three stolen bases. Abbe Diemer had the other hit, also a double.
The Softball program graduates five this year; Lily Gaastra (Shortstop), Haily McBride (Pitcher, Outfield), Annika Smits (Center field), Allison Quist (DP), Lille Dekker (Catcher). We wish them the best as they go onto college next year and look forward to having them back for the Alumni game!
