COMSTOCK PARK HIGH SCHOOL: 12
The Eagles took the lead late in the game with a 22-12 victory over Comstock Park. Abbe Diemer started things off on the mound and lasted 2 innings before Comstock Park picked her up. She gave up 6 hits, 4 walks, and 3 strikeouts. Lauren Holkeboer came in for relief and earned the win on the mound. She went 4 innings, gave up 7 hits, 1 walk, and 3 strikeouts.
The Eagles totaled 11 hits in game one, led by Holkeboer and Ellie VandeGriend. Both went 3/5 with two singles, and a double. Renee Prins had 2 hits and Greta Vance had 1 hit. Diemer and Bryleigh Anderson each had 1 hit, both being doubles.
Going into the bottom of the 4th the Eagles were down 6-8. The Eagles rallied and managed to drive in 7 runs. Comstock Park continued to fight, however, GRC drove in 6 more runs in the bottom of the 5th and 3 more in the bottom of the 6th to finalize the game.
