The Eagles suffered a tough lost knocking them out of the race for an OK-Gold conference championship. The Eagles fell behind early trailing 7 - 16 at the end of the 1st quarter. However, the Eagles were able to fight back cutting the lead to four points going in at the half 19 - 23. Defensively, the Eagles defense was solid in the 1st half holding the Sailors to 23 points. Second half, the Eagles just couldn't get anything going offensively struggling to make shots. The Eagles defense collapsed allowing the Sailors to go on a 20 point run in the 4th quarter and the Eagles never recovered. The Eagles will have to regroup before for their next game and start preparing for a post season run.
The Eagles were led by senior Evan May's 10 points and 6 rebounds. The Eagles are back home next week to take on the Godwin Wolverines. The Eagles fall to 17 - 2 overall and 10 - 2 in the OK-Gold conference.
