The Grand Rapids Christian Eagles suffered a challenging loss at home against the Hudsonville Eagles in a dramatic finish.

Hudsonville established strong momentum early, finding immediate success from the three point line in the first quarter, which ended with a significant 21-7 lead. The Grand Rapids Christian offense struggled to find continuity in the initial stages, resulting in a 35-21 halftime deficit.

The second half began with a complete shift in intensity from the Eagles. Displaying impressive defensive focus and commitment, holding Hudsonville to only six points in the third quarter. Simultaneously, the offense found its rhythm, exploding for 21 points in the period to capture a one point lead heading into the final quarter 42-41.

The fourth quarter was a hard-fought battle down to the wire. Hudsonville fought back, scoring 17 points while holding the Grand Rapids Christian Eagles to 13 points. The final minutes of the game were tight, featuring critical plays from both sides. Ultimately, Hudsonville held on for the victory, handing the Grand Rapids Christian Eagles team their second loss of the young season.

The Eagles were led by a strong performances from Connor Johnson with 19 points, Carl Thompson would finish with 16 points and Will Ferwerda chipped in with 6 points and gave the Eagles a spark.

The team showed outstanding determination in overcoming a large deficit which will help through the challenging early season schedule.
