The Eagles set the tone early, starting the game with strong execution on both ends of the floor. Their defensive intensity and offensive rhythm led to an 18–12 advantage after the 1st quarter. That momentum carried into the second quarter as the Eagles continued to share the ball effectively and defend with purpose, closing the first half with a 33–25 lead.
The third quarter presented challenges offensively, as ball movement slowed and turnovers disrupted the Eagles’ flow. Forest Hills Northern capitalized and would win the quarter, narrowing the margin. However, the Eagles maintained their composure and entered the final quarter with a 42–38 lead.
In the 4th quarter, the Eagles responded with a defensive focus. They contested shots, rebounded and limited second chance opportunities. That commitment on the defensive end, combined with execution down the stretch, allowed the Eagles to regain control and close out the game.
Grand Rapids Christian controlled the final quarter and secured its second conference win, finishing with a 60–51 victory. This was another complete team effort on defense and resilience.
Braylon Taylor led the Eagles with 19 points, while Connor Johnson added 17 points. Will Ferwerda contributed 8 points, and Ajak Gieu finished with 7 points. Charlie King made several impactful plays late in the game, including some key rebounds that helped seal the win.
