The Grand Rapids Christian Eagles traveled to Grand Rapids Community College to compete in the 2K26 Showcase, facing off against the Ferndale Eagles in a highly anticipated "Battle of the Eagles." Grand Rapids Christian asserted their dominance early and never looked back, securing a decisive 80–56 victory.

The game began as a defensive battle, with Grand Rapids Christian carving out a narrow 14–11 lead in the 1st quarter. However, the intensity shifted gears in the second. The Eagles stifled Ferndale’s offense, holding them to just 12 points while erupting for 25 points of their own. This surge allowed Grand Rapids Christian to head into the locker room with a comfortable 39–23 halftime lead.

The momentum reached its peak in the 3rd quarter. Grand Rapids Christian put on an offensive clinic, scoring 30 points in a single quarter while maintaining their high level defensive pressure. By the end of the third, the Eagles had built an insurmountable 69–39 advantage.

Despite a late 4th quarter push from Ferndale, Grand Rapids Christian remained composed to protect their lead. A standout storyline of the game was the Eagles'  bench provided a significant spark from the opening tip to the final buzzer. Senior Carl Thompson led the Eagles with 25 points, senior Connor Johnson dropped 20 points, junior Charlie King would finish with 10 points and Carter Beimers-Helbich would add 6 points.
