Varsity Eagles Battle Reeths-Puffer at Cornerstone

The varsity Eagles traveled to Cornerstone University on Friday to face Reeths-Puffer in a competitive, high-intensity matchup. Charley Hassenrik sparked the Eagles early, scoring the team’s first 10 points and finishing with 13 points, 7 steals, 6 rebounds, and a block. Rae Cummings added a strong performance with 8 points, 4 rebounds, and a steal. Kamryn Taylor pulled down 6 rebounds and added a steal, while Lilah Poel and Lydia Ydenberg each grabbed 6 rebounds. Ydenberg also contributed 2 blocks.
Despite the effort, the Eagles came up short, falling 35–51. They’ll look to bounce back during Christmas break when they return to Cornerstone on Monday at 2:30 p.m. to take on Coopersville.
