The Eagles edged Coopersville in a thrilling, down-to-the-wire matchup Tuesday night, pulling out a 35–33 victory. Lilah Poel led the way with outstanding tempo control, finishing with 9 points, 9 rebounds, and a key block. Charley Hassenrik delivered an all-around performance, tallying 8 points, 6 rebounds, 4 steals, 3 assists, and 3 blocks.
Mags Cumming added 8 points along with 3 assists and 3 rebounds, while Rae Cummings anchored the defense with relentless effort and 5 rebounds. Kamryn Taylor came up big late, grabbing 4 rebounds, including the game-sealing board in the final moments.
It was a strong team showing, and the Eagles will return to action Monday as they open conference play.
