The GRC Eagles delivered an incredible performance, overcoming a severely short Winterim roster to earn a hard-fought conference win over Forest Hills Central. With just five varsity players available, the Eagles leaned on heart, toughness, and relentless effort and it paid off.
Charley Hassenrik led the charge, running the point while pouring in 17 points, grabbing 6 rebounds, and swiping 4 steals. Kamryn Taylor was a force on both ends with 8 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals. Rae Cummings and Maya Merritt each added 6 points, with Cummings also pulling down 5 rebounds and converting two huge and-one opportunities. Adelyn Breuninger sparked the transition game, dishing out 3 assists and scoring 5 points of her own.
These five battled every possession and never backed down, turning adversity into an unforgettable win.
