The Eagles dropped a tough, hard-fought contest to the Pioneers of East Grand Rapids in a closely contested matchup. After falling behind by eight points early, the Eagles spent the rest of the game battling to claw their way back but ultimately came up short.
Charley Hassenrik was a standout for the Eagles, leading the way with 17 points while adding an impressive 8 steals and 4 rebounds. Maya Merritt provided a spark from the perimeter, knocking down shots for 11 points. Lilah Poel contributed 7 points and 5 rebounds, while Rae Cummings controlled the boards with 6 rebounds. Adelyn Breuninger made her presence felt on defense, finishing with four rebounds and three steals.
The Eagles will look to bounce back quickly as they head on the road today to face their next conference opponent, Catholic Central.
