The varsity Eagles came up short on Saturday while battling with a shortened bench. A slow offensive start put the Eagles in an early hole, but they continued to compete throughout the game. Lilah Poel was a strong presence on the floor, leading the team with 14 points while adding 9 rebounds and 4 steals. Lily Batts provided a solid all-around performance with 7 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 assists. Maya Merritt and Kamryn Taylor each chipped in 5 points, while Keira Dawes contributed on the boards with 5 rebounds. Adelyn Breuninger anchored the defense, recording a team-high 7 steals. The girls will return Tuesday at home versus Ottawa Hills.
