Eagle Eye golf course, in Lansing is a very challenging, links style golf course. THis tournament plays from 6900 yards vs teh normal high school lengths of 6350 yards. So it was a hard course that also included about 500 more yards. For those of you wondering that means you hit much longer shots into the green 5 iron, 6 iron, 7 iron intstead of 9iron and wedges. So it was tough. Couple that with 25-35 MPH winds all day and two of the hardest par threes in michigan (one is an island green), and you have the makings of a challenging day. 

Cooper Reitsma led the charge for the Eagles shooting a 2-over 74 to take home medalist honors by making a 15 foot par save on the 18th hole! Also scoring for the Eagles was Sawyer O'Grady (77, T5), Ty Erickson (82) and Davis Hutt (89). The Eagles were the top Division 2 team in the event, edging out South Christian by 4 shots and losing to Detroit Catholic Central by 5 shots. 

The Eagles step right back into state championship events today at Kent Country Club for teh fourth OK White Jamboree of the season. Then On Friday the Eagles play in another Division 1 heavy tournament that also includes some of the top 5 best teams in Division 2 at The Loop Classic at Forest Dunes on Friday. Go Eagles!
