Girls Varsity Golf State Tournament

The GRCHS Eagles Girls Varsity Golf team closed out the season with a top 10 finish at state on Saturday at MSU's Forest Akers East golf course. The team fired a 359 to place 10th overall in Division III in the state of MIchigan! On a cool, cloudy day, junior Sarah Muir fired a solid 89, freshmen Halle Couch shot a 98 and senior Annika Smits shot a 102 on a long, cold golf course. Congratulations especially has to go out to senior Ryann Breslin who shot her second consecutive tournament of 2 under par. On Saturday Ryann's incredible round of 70 included a state record 5 birdies in a 7 hole stretch and she birdied both of her last two holes to tie for first place in the state!
