The Varsity Eagles hosted the Division 1 finalists from Byron Center on Tuesday night. After a scoreless first half, the visitor's pressure paid off, forcing the Eagles into mistakes in the back that led to goals. After falling behind 2-0, the Eagles would claw one back with Liam Jansen's free kick found Will Bush at the far post. His looping header found the back of the net to give the Eagles some life. However, the Bulldogs would respond with two more goals to finish the match 4-1.
The Eagles will look to respond when they travel to South Christian on Thursday for a 6:45pm match.
