The Varsity Eagles travelled to face our neighbors from Ottawa Hills. Liam Jansen would open the scoring thirteen minutes into the match. Leonardo Ban Bacarin would add to the lead when he finished off a cross from Caden Hoving to stake the visitors to a 2-0 lead.
The second half would feature more quality chances from the Eagles. Jansen would net his brace when he calmly finished to the far post with an assist from Max Visser. William Bush would make it 4-0 as he got in behind the defense and slotted one past the keeper that ended up just inside the post. Gerrit Boer would finish the scoring with a quality strike from outside the box to finish the scoring at 5-0. Josh Dykema and Alex Nelson would combine in goal for the clean sheet as the defensive unit managed the match well.
The Eagles return to play on Tuesday when they travel to Forest Hills Northern for a key conference match that's slated to kick off at 6:45pm.
