The Eagles welcomed the Hawks of Forest Hills Eastern on Hall of Fame night at Eagle Stadium.  The 1998 and 2001 state title teams, as well as a few individual athletes, were welcomed into the Hall of Fame during a halftime celebration.  The varsity Eagles contributed to the festive atmosphere by scoring 4 goals in the first half to break the game open.   Will Vandenberg would open the scoring with an assist from Frieder Breithaupt.  Will Gruennert would add to the lead when he calmly finished a chance in front of goal off an Andrew Brink pass.  Seth Rozema made it three when he was found by Max Visser in front of goal and slotted one home to the near post.  Visser would provide another assist when he played in Vandenberg for the defender to finish his second on the night.  

The Eagles offense would slow a bit in the second half, but Micah Rogers would slam one home off a goalmouth scramble after a corner kick to complete the scoring for the home team.   FHE would pull one back late with a stunning strike from distance that found the upper corner to finish the scoring at 5-1.   Josh Dykema and Alex Nelson would split time in net and combined for the win.  

The Eagles return to action on Wednesday when they travel to East Grand Rapids for a 6:45pm match.
