The Eagles opened the 2025 MHSAA Tournament by traveling to Lowell on Thursday evening.   The visitors nearly got off to a stunning start when Seth Rozema played a perfect ball through the channel to a streaking Liam Jansen, who beat a defender and smashed a shot that found the far post.  The hosts, however, would be the first to strike as they scored against the run of play when the Eagles defensive unit allowed too much space in the defensive third.   The Eagles would respond quickly when Rozema played a corner to Tyler Wolters, who headed it past the Lowell keeper to level the match at 1-1.   Jansen would later stake the Eagles to their first lead as he slammed one home from a tough angle near the end line.   The Eagles would take the 2-1 lead into the halftime break.

The Eagles came out strong in the second half and finally found the insurance goal they desired when freshman Marcus Jenkins toe-poked one past the keeper to give the visitors a more comfortable 3-1 advantage.   The Eagles would see out the remainder of the match to claim victory and move on to the district semifinal.

The Eagles will take on #1 ranked Forest Hills Central at Forest Hills Northern on Monday at 5pm.  Go Eagles!
