The Eagles welcomed the Huskies of Forest Hills Northern to Eagle stadium on Wednesday night.  The home side would strike first when Ellie Breuninger played a ball over to the top to Charley Hassenrik, who beat the keeper and calmly slotted one home to give the Eagles a 1-0 lead midway through the first half.   The Huskies would respond; however, as they split the Eagle defense with a through-ball that was collected and finished at the far post.   In spite of a few other quality chances, the half would end 1-1.

The second half featured more quality defending from the Eagles as they pressed for a goal on the attacking end.   The Husky goal keeper was up to the task, though, and the Eagles could not find the winner in spite of a handful of quality chances and dangerous corner kicks.    The two sides would have to settle for the draw in another tightly contested conference match.

Natalie Hutt had a strong night in goal and the defensive unit of Zuly Lathouwers, Vivi Duncan, Lydia Ydenberg, Lilah Poel, and Meghan Leech stay organized and composed in the back as they limited dangerous chances from the opposition.  

The Eagles return to action on Friday night when they host the Maroons from Holland Christian with a 7:45pm kickoff.    Go Eagles!
