The Eagles welcomed the Maroons from Holland Christian for a Friday night under the lights at Eagle Stadium. The Eagles would get off to a flying start just two minutes into the match when Stella Sheldon played a perfect pass through the channel to Charley Hassenrik, who slotted the ball past the keeper to stake the home-side to an early lead. In spite of a few other quality chances, the Eagles would not find the back of the net again; however, the defensive unit stood tall on the night, limiting dangerous chances for the visitors. The Eagles would see out their narrow lead to claim a 1-0 win. Natalie Hutt earned the clean sheet in goal.
The Eagles return to action on Monday night when they visit Catholic Central for a 6:45 kickoff. Go Eagles!
