The Eagles traveled to Grandville High School for a non-conference match on a perfect Friday evening for soccer.   The Eagles struck first when Zuly Lathouwers controlled a rebound off a corner kick and perfectly placed a shot to the far post to give the Eagles the lead midway through the first half.   Shortly after, Stella Sheldon played a perfect ball through the channel to Charley Hassenrik, who made no mistake as she fired a shot off the far post that ended up in the back of the net.   The Eagles would head to the halftime break with a 2-0 lead.

The Eagles would add a third in the early stages of the second half when a Zuly Lathouwers header from a corner kick was headed home by Sheldon to give the Eagles a comfortable 3-0 lead.  The Bulldogs from Grandville would not go quietly; however, as they capitalized on an Eagle giveaway to cut the deficit to 3-1.   The visitors would restore the three goal cushion when Hassenrik's cross was smashed home at the far post with a header from Hazel Vance.  Grandville would pull another one back not long after to make it 4-2, but the Eagles were able to see out the rest of the match and claim their third win of the week.   Natalie Hutt earned the win in goal.  

The Eagles return to action when they visit Ottawa Hills on Wednesday at 5:45pm.   Go Eagles!
