Boys Varsity Tennis @ Rockford v. Rockford, Forest Hills Central, and St. Joe

The Eagles traveled to Rockford for a very competitive quad this past Saturday. On a beautiful day the Eagles took 3rd place out of 4, falling to Rockford and FHC. While the team took care of business against St. Joe for the second week in a row, the team overall was not competitive against FHC and fell closely to Rockford.
The #1 Doubles team of Grant Moorhead and Tanner Warners continued their stellar campaign, defeating all 3 teams while improving their scores against St. Joe. Devin Meeuwsen and Sam VanSchepen, playing their first tournament together, rebounded after a tough loss to FHC and being down a set to St. Joe to win out their final two matches in spectacular fashion.
The adversity of a tough performance comes at the perfect time for the Eagles, as they look to have two solid days of practice before traveling to a OK-Gold and Divisional showdown against Forest Hills Eastern on Wednesday and then traveling to the always tough Allegan Duals on Saturday.
