It was an old-fashioned beatdown on the Zandee Tennis courts at Gainey Athletic Complex on Wednesday as the Eagles opened the conference season against the Lowell Red Arrows. Coming away with a quick 8-0 victory, the Eagles will head into a huge matchup against Division 2 powerhouse Forest Hills Northern next Wednesday.
Simon Volkema was the quickest to finish in 35 minutes, defeating his opponent 6-0, 6-1. The 1-doubles team of Dream Kwon and Tanner Warners were next, dispacting their opponents 5 minutes later 6-0, 6-0. Alex Cook, Lucas Pinone and Callum Campbell followed suit at 2,3, and 4 singles respectively. The 2-doubles team of Cade Boender and Sir Charles Walters won 6-2, 6-2. Ethan DeBlecourt and Sam VanSchepen won at 3-doubles 6-0, 6-1. Parker Seth and Luke Gelderloos finished the deal at 4-doubles winning 6-1, 6-0.
