The Eagles tied the Bulldogs of Byron Center today and the Bulldogs were more happy than the Eagles.  Simon Volkema continued his dominance of the best Singles players in the area, winning easily 6-0, 6-1 against his opponent.  Cade Boender and Charlie Walters were equally dominant against their 2-doubles opponents, playing great team tennis en route to an easy, well-played 6-1, 6-0 win.

Tanner Warners and Dream Kwon continued their undefeated streak at 1-doubles, overcoming an uncharacteristic shaky start, down 3-4 in the first set, but winning the final 9 games of the match to win their match 6-4, 6-0.  Sam VanSchepen and Ethan DeBlecourt had a great match at 3-doubles in a spirited affair, and came away with a key win, securing the tie at 6-4, 6-4.

Callum Campbell at 4-Singles gave his all dropping a tough one in 3 sets 3-6, 6-2, 4-6, while the 4-doubles team of Parker Seth and Luke Gelderloos fought equally hard dropping a heartbreaker 4-6, 6-2, 1-6.

Next up for the Eagles is a very competitive Rockford Quad at Rockford High School on Saturday.  It will be a great test for the boys.
