The Eagles battled like crazy on the Zandee courts at Gainey Wednesday against OK-White opponent Forest Hills Northern, but fell just short, losing the match 3-5. Further showing why he is the best player in the area, Simon Volkema got the win at 1-Singles.
Sam VanSchepen and Ethan DeBlecourt garnered a hard-fought victory at 3-doubles, while Dream Kwon and Tanner Warners won a spirited affair in straight sets at 1-doubles, rounding out the scoring for the Eagles.
Next up, the Eagles travel to Grandville on Saturday for a quad while preparing for a grueling conference slate next week.
