The varsity team traveled to Hamilton on Wednesday to compete in their second regional matchup of the season. With the help of quick starts across the lineup, the Eagles secured their first team victory of the season by a decisive score of 6-2.  

• Ben Franzkoch showed much resilience at 1 singles in a 6-3. 7-6(2) victory over a very talented counterpart.
• Nathanial Zwart lost a long, hard fought battle at 2 singles, 4-6, 4-6, full of plenty of long points.
• James Vandenbosch took care of business at 3 singles with a quick 6-0,6-1 victory.
• Nicholas Welch clawed his way to a first set lead but was unable to hold on, losing 5-7, 1-6.
• Banks McNinch and Will Deblecourt ‘shmoked’ their opponents with a decisive 6-3,6-1 victory at 1 doubles.
• Charlie Baker and Eli Setlock continue to earn wins at 2 doubles with a confident 6-1,6-2 victory.
• Elijah Kuiper and Henry Kraay were impressive in their first match as a unit, dominating to a 6-0,6-1 victory.
• Charlie Kooistra and Jackson Amash pulled off a steady 6-2,6-4 victory at 4 doubles.

Things are looking up for the Eagles after their first win of the season. They'll head into the holiday weekend feeling confident and looking ahead to a week full of competitive matches ahead.
