The Eagles hosted FHE on Monday afternoon for an important conference matchup. Thanks to a strong start across the board and some resiliency in a couple spots, the Eagles battled to a gritty 4-4 tie. The winning started with the Captain Duo of Banks McNinch and Will Deblecourt at 1 doubles, who came out attacking and dominated their opponents to a quick straight set victory. Not long after Captain Nathanial Zwart at 3 Singles took care of business as well, winning his first set in a fantastic comeback effort (down 1-5, winning 7-6) and consequently the match because of an injury default from his opponent. At 2 Doubles Eli Setlock and Charlie Baker rode a strong start into a three set victory, earning their second win over FHE this season. Lastly, with the teaming trailing 3-4, Charlie Kooistra and Nick Welch rose to the occasion winning an impressive three set match at 4 doubles to secure the tie for the Eagles.
Next up for the Eagles is an away match against FHN on Wednesday.
