Girls Varsity Volleyball Defeats Coopersville in a 5 Set Thriller to win the Regional Final

The Eagles played Coopersville in the regional finals on Thursday night and beat them in 5 sets. There was exciting back and forth play from start to finish. Coopersville stunned the Eagles in the first set with a score of 25-12 but the Eagles would answer back in the second set and beat the Broncos 25-16. GRC stayed on a roll and beat the Broncos in the third set 25-17 only to let Coopersville back in the 4th to take the set 25-19. The Eagles came out and dominated in the 5th and won 15-6. Your Eagles are Regional Champs!
Stat leaders for the night were Addie VanderWeide with 15 kills, 2.5 blocks and 14 digs, Jordyn Gates with 40 assists, 2 blocks and 12 digs, Evie Doezema with 14 kills, 1 ace, and 3.5 blocks and Lauren Peal with 3 aces and 11 digs. The Eagles will play Hamilton at Hamilton on Tuesday the 14th at 6:00.
