Senior Mallory Bremer, who suffered a season-altering injury before the year began, has exemplified what it means to be a leader. Though her role changed dramatically, Mallory became the heart of the team, offering support, leadership, and inspiration throughout the season. After a lot of hard work, she was cleared to serve for Senior Night and started the match with a run of four straight serves, including two aces. She finished the night with four total aces and two digs, an emotional and fitting contribution to the team she's helped lead through the seasons .
Fellow senior Maddie Landheer also rose to the occasion, delivering a dominating performance with 9 kills and an impressive .350 hitting percentage. She added an ace and a crucial block that shut down a Forest Hills Central service run. Maddie’s journey has been one of resilience and adaptability, shifting positions and thriving in each role for her team. Fittingly, she sealed the match with a powerful line shot to close out a memorable night.
