Eagles Varsity Girls’ Lacrosse - Eagles Varsity fell to Spring Lake 9 - 13, though not without a fight. Goals were scored by Lili Bouwma (5), Elizabeth Mehney (3), and Niya Couch. Attacker Lili Bouwma was credited with winning 5 draws and controlling 3. Niya Couch was also with winning 5 draws and controlling 1. Freshmen goalie Katie Hoeksema was credited with 7 saves. Defensive player of the game was Katie Winkle for her hustle on the ride as well on the post. The team’s Ground Hog Award was split between to junior Rylee Sigler and freshmen Elizabeth Mehney, each with 2 ground balls. With 1 assist Niya Couch was the Laxister of the game. Way to go Eagles!!
