Eagles Varsity Girls’ Lacrosse - Eagles Varsity continue their winning streak in a hard-fought victory over Hudsonville, winning 7 - 6. Goals were scored by Niya Couch (4), Halle Couch (2), and Lili Bouwma. Midfielder Halle Couch was credited with winning 7 draws and controlling 5. Attack player Niya Couch was credited with winning 2 draws and controlling 1. Freshmen goalie Katie Hoeksema was credited with an outstanding 12 saves. Defensive player of the game was co-awarded to Maggie Doyle for her hustle across the field, and goalie Katie Hoeksema with 12 saves, 3 ground balls, and 2 caused turnovers. The team’s Ground Hog Award went to Lili Bouwma, with 4 ground balls. Finally with 3 assists Lili Bouwma was awarded the Laxister of the game. Way to go Eagles!!
