Eagles Varsity Girls' Lacrosse - Varsity won a clear cut victory over Lowell last night, winning 21 - 5. Goals were scored by Lili Bouwma (5), Niya Couch (5), Sophie Israels (4), Halle Couch (3), Kiera Zylstra (2), and defenders Maggie Doyle and Leah Stransky. Midfielder Halle Couch was credited with winning 14 draws and controlling 6. Niya Couch was credited with winning and controlling 1 draw. Freshmen goalie Katie Hoeksema was credited with 6 saves. Defensive Player of the Game was awarded to Katie Winkle for her hustle, awareness on the field, and 2 ground balls. The team's Ground Hog Award was split between Adia Sikkema and Rylee Sigler with 3 ground balls each. With 4 assists, Adia Sikkema was awarded the Laxister of the game. Nice work Eagles!!
