Boys Varsity Wrestling vs. Forest Hills Central and Kelloggsville

The Eagle wrestlers split their duals Wednesday night, Falling to FHC 27-51 in a dual with several close matches and then bounced back to defeat Kelloggsville 60-15. The dual against Kelloggsville was the first time in at least 15 years that the Eagles had a wrestler compete in all 14 weight classes in the same dual.
Jayden Wierenga was the only Eagle wrestler to wrestle twice and win both of his matches, the first a 18-2 Tech Fall (3:17) and the second a Fall (3:03). Caleb Pugh had five takedowns and a first period pin in the one match he wrestled. Ari Gray had four takedowns in his one match which ended with him winning a Major Decision 14-4. Other Eagle wrestlers to earn a win were Beckett Bylsma, Daniel Hinsch, Lincoln Leatherman, Joshua Bawi, Isaac James, Joe Gofoe, Max Patten, Josiah Gurly, and Michael Cool.
The Eagles will be a two different tournaments this Saturday with most of the team competing in the Unity Christian Invitational. Caleb Pugh will be competing in the Sparta Invitational.
