The Eagles got off to a good start on both sides of the basketball. Wayland played a zone defense the entire game and the Eagles capitalized. The first quarter the Eagles made 4 threes and led 22-13 after one. The second quarter The Eagles applied full court pressure on the defensive end to create some opportunities for some steals and to create some tempo. At half, the Eagles were leading 38-22. The second half the Eagles wore down Wayland. The Eagles got everyone involved on the offensive end. All the Eagles got in the scoring column. The Eagles held Wayland to 18 points in the second half and won by the score of 74-40.
Delon McCloud led the Eagles with 19 points. Brandon Schepel added 13 points and Chase Jackson added 10 points. The Eagles return to action this Thursday at home against South Christian.
