The JV boys soccer team beat Ottawa Hills last night 5-2.
The Eagle’s first goal came from a free kick just outside the box. Mark Sheldon played a cheeky ball through the line to Moses Hapner who then finished his chance 1v1 with the keeper. Marcus Jenkins II scored the second goal on a breakaway 1v1 with the keeper, assisted by Abel Aleme.
The team's third goal came when Mark Sheldon hit a top corner, one touch, out-of-the-air volley 18 yards out, assisted by Ben Byma's throw-in. 30 seconds later, Moses Hapner scored his second of three goals on the night after receiving a ball from Simon Borst, rounding the keeper, and beating a defender to the ball for the finish. In between two Ottawa Hills goals, Moses Hapner scored his third and team's fifth goal, which started with a team combination play through the middle and assisted by a Marcus Jenkins II slot ball. Eagles Goalkeepers Nico Mucci and Soren Mayer played well with 8 saves between them. The team resumes play Wednesday night at 6:00 vs Forest Hills Northern @ Eagles Stadium.
