Jackson Groen pitched 3 2/3 for the Eagles. Allowing 0 walks. Ethan Ogle supplied some offense leading the Eagles with two hits and a couple of runs. Zeke Heerema came in to shut the door on the Pioneers.. The Eagles had a wild last inning getting an out at home. They struck out the lead off guy. Later on, on a ball that squirted away from Ogle at catcher, he hustled back and flipped it to Heerema to tag the runner out at Home. The next batter grounded out to Kileen at 2nd base and the Eagles held on 8-6.
Eagles play Thursday at home against the Red Arrows.
