The Freshman Boys Basketball team hosted Wyoming High School on Thursday, ultimately securing a narrow, 44-42 victory in a competitive contest.

The Eagles established a commanding early presence, concluding the first quarter with a strong 15-6 lead. Defense dominated the second quarter, with both teams limited to five points, allowing the Eagles to maintain a 20-11 advantage going into the half.

Wyoming mounted a significant comeback in the second half, briefly taking the lead from the Eagles. Despite the challenge, the Eagles demonstrated resilience and composure in the final minutes, securing the win with a final score of 44-42.

The team's success was attributed to a balanced scoring attack, with nine players contributing points. Key defensive pressure was applied by Enzo Lathouwers in the fourth quarter. Sam Krosschell and Cam Howe delivered crucial, clutch shots to help preserve the lead, and Silas Howk provided valuable minutes that were instrumental in securing the final victory.

The Eagles will next host a formidable opponent, Hudsonville, on Tuesday.
